Behind the Scenes: Mini Moon Getaway
Behind the Scenes:
Mini Moon Getaway
When planning our latest photoshoot, we shifted our focus to a special moment after the wedding: the honeymoon. With international trips temporarily on hold, many newlyweds are planning intimate and relaxing mini moons closer to home. Inspired by the vintage snapshots of French photographer Jacques-Henri Lartigue, we packed our bags (and our new honeymoon collection!) for a secluded estate with gorgeous gardens, lush greenhouses, and a showstopping indoor pool. Join our team for a peek behind the scenes at our dreamy mini moon getaway.

What was the inspiration for this shoot?

Can you tell us a bit about the location?

Landis: “The estate is in New Jersey, but it looks like a mix of English landscape, Italian tiled greenrooms, and even a fully enclosed, antique tiled pool house. Needless to say, that was everyone’s favorite place.”
Kirby: “The location was a former country home turned into a venue. There were so many unique spaces on the property—I loved the pool and the greenhouse.”
Julia: “My favorite spot was the pool. The space has been maintained beautifully; the original tile work and construction were perfect for capturing the vintage vibe of this shoot.”
Sarah: “Totally epic mansion! Fun fact: they filmed some of The Sopranos there. I enjoyed the endless bedrooms and hallways; walking through all the different spaces felt like playing a game of Clue.”

What was your favorite moment?
Landis: “Erica and Cory on the tandem bicycle. Real-life goofy love.”
Kirby: “Catching Nneoma taking a selfie in the mirror and then everyone who was around joining in. Such a small moment, but it made me realize how much we are like a family.”
Julia: “Photographer Alvin Kean Wong got into the heated pool to capture a shot of Caroline—it was freezing! To me, that’s the dedication you want from your photographer; he was willing to go the extra mile to get that perfect shot.”
Sarah: “Shooting on the lawn with the models literally running around.”
